The coming week...

Music plays an important part in our worship at St Lawrence.  We have a very fine organ (see details below) and an excellent adult choir to lead our singing at our main services; with a youth choir leading for more informal worship.  If you'd like to find out more about either of our choirs follow the appropriate links:

THE ORGAN

The church houses a fine two manual Nicholson organ which was built in 1971 after a serious fire destroyed the previous instrument in 1969. It is located in front of the West wall of the Corpus Christi Chapel (facing East), adjacent to the choir stalls. It has both electric key and stop action and with only 19 speaking stops, it has tremendous versatility and is suitable for a huge variety of organ music. It is an excellent example of a Nicholson organ. The specification is:
