The Parish of Abbots Langley

Regular Events

Tuesday Coffee

Every Tuesday througout the year, come for a coffee and a chat in St Lawrence Church anytime between 10.15 am and 12.15 pm. Tea and hot chocolate also on offer, or fruit juice, and biscuits. We are a church which believes in using fairly traded goods as much as possible so all that you drink or eat will have been produced by fair trade.

Bedmond Coffee Morning

On the first Wednesday of each month, come for a coffee or tea and a chat in the Tin Church at Bedmond between 10.00 am and 12.00 noon. Fairly traded goods used here too; and sometimes there is book stall and/or a stall selling some Traidcraft goods.

Fairtrade Stall

We have a fairtrade stall once a month in St Lawrence usually on the first Sunday of the month during coffee after the main 9.30 am Parish Communion - at about 11.00 am if you want to come to buy goods but aren't able to come to the service first.

Goods on offer include: tea, coffee, sugar, honey, biscuits, dried fruit, sweets and chocolate, muesli, jams and at certain times during the year there are cards and gifts.

Craft Afternoon

Those with an interest in any sort of craft are welcome to come along to the Breakspear Room on a Friday afternoon between 2.00 and 4.00 pm, with their craft, and join with others - knitting, sewing, lace-making, painting - whatever craft you like - or come along to learn a new craft.  It has encouraged some to pick up something after a long period (20 years in one case!) of doing nothing.
