In March 2018 we were allocated a £2500 grant by the ABBOTS LANGLEY PARISH COUNCIL towards cost of churchyard maintenance and maintaining the environment.  This goes towards the upkeep of the mowers and equipment and to pay one person a number of hours throughout the year to try to keep on top of some of the growing season.  Most of the work in the churchyard is done by a small group of volunteers who are always happy to welcome others to join them.  They usually meet on the first Saturday of each month and, depending on the time of year, they mow, strim, weed, sweep leaves, clear litter, have bonfires, etc, all the usual things you would expect to do in your garden throughout the year - albeit probably on a larger scale!  If you would like to join this team please just turn up between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm (coffee break at 11.00) - the remaining dates for 2018 are:  7th April, 5th May, 2nd June, 7th July, 4th August, 1st September, 6th October, 3rd November and 1st December  - or make contact to find out more.

Fundraising is going well!  The next event is an African-themed Dinner and Wine-Tasting Quiz to be held in the church hall on Saturday 21st April at 7.00 for 7.30 pm.  Tickets are £18 to include a three-course meal and wine with each course - they are available from the church office ...

The food bank is in need of long-life milk, sugar, rice pudding, long-life fruit juice and canned meat.  Please leave items in the box at the back of church which will be emptied regularly ...

A concert version of Roger Jones' first ever musical, Jerusalem Joy, which tells the story of Easter, from Palm Sunday to the Resurrection, will be performed as part of the Spring Concert Series on Saturday 12th May at 11.00 am in St Lawrence.  All are welcome to join in, both young and old - or come and watch on the day ...

The Annual Report for 2016/17 can be found here, and the Annual Accounts to 31st December 2016 here.
