Seekers
Seekers meet on Sundays in the Church Hall at 9.30 a.m. while the Parish Communion is taking place but on the second Sunday each month everyone is in church together for all-age worship.
At Seekers children share the Christian faith in an enjoyable, informal and fun way. They have the opportunity to learn through games, stories, craft, drama, music and discussion about the key features of Christianity.
Towards the end of the service, they all come into church for a blessing and to tell the congregation what they have learnt.
After the service, which normally finishes by 10.45 a.m. you and your children are welcome to join us in the Church Hall for a drink and a chat.
Seekers is for children aged 3 to 11 years old. Families from all parts of the Christian community, and those with no church background who want to give their children an introduction to Christianity that is informal, fun and with no pressure, are welcome.
As well as meeting on a Sunday morning they organise occasional workshops for the children; and the Seekers party is the highlight of the year!
They look forward to welcoming you and your children.
Youth Choir
St Lawrence Youth Choir meets in church on Friday evenings from 6.15 to 7.00 pm. It is open to children/young people from the age of 7 upwards.
They aim to have fun while providing some basic musical tuition, and introducing the children to a variety of choral music, secular as well as church. The choir is able to contribute to worship as part of the Second Sunday Service at 9.30 a.m. each month, and occasionally at weddings and baptisms, and festival services.
Please look at the flyer.
Messy Church
Messy Church takes place on the second Wednesday of every month at the Methodist Church and Hall in Langley Road.
Starting between 3.30pm and 4.00pm it gives children and parents/carers time to come from the school pick up. They finish around 6.00pm.
It provides an opportunity for children, up to the age of 11 years, along with their parents/carers to enjoy fellowship, craft activities (often messy!), worship and a meal.
Each meeting has a different theme based round a story from the Bible.
It is noisy and fun and they simply ask for a donation towards the food.
Parents with a baby in tow often bring their own baby food which can be heated if required.
If you are coming for the first time please email (adminstlawrence@abbotslangley.org.uk) or telephone the Church Office (01923 261795) so they have some idea of numbers for catering.
If you want to know more ring Wendy on 01923 264800.
